    Immigration Evaluations

    • You are in need of a psycho-social assessment or mental health evaluation for the following types of immigration cases and would like someone who is fluently bilingual in Spanish and English. (Information obtained from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services website or https://www.uscis.gov). 
      • U-Visa: for victims that have experienced certain crimes who have suffered mental or physical abuse and are helpful to law enforcement or government officials in the investigation or prosecution of criminal activity. 
      • Mental Hardship: require applicants to establish that refusal of their admission would result in “extreme hardship” to certain U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (LPR) family members.
      • Seeking Asylum: seeking protection due to suffering persecution or fear that you will suffer persecution due to: 
        • Race
        • Religion
        • Nationality
        • Membership in a particular social group
        • Political opinion
      • VAWA Petition: victim of battery or extreme cruelty committed by: 
        • A U.S. citizen spouse or former spouse
        • A U.S. citizen parent
        • A U.S. citizen son or daughter
        • A lawful permanent resident (LPR) spouse or former spouse
        • An LPR parent

    Hello there, and welcome to My Hope Counseling, LLC. A place of hope and healing.  Are you feeling anxious and fearful about the future? Do you find it hard to enjoy life and live in the present? or sleep? concentrate? I get it! And am glad you are seeking ways to take care of yourself. Our emotions are often a compass that indicate when something in us needs our attention.  Through our therapy sessions, we will work together to identify and explore your needs, symptoms, and explore the right treatment plan to meet your goals in therapy.  You alone are the expert of your story. I am here to collaboratively support you along in your journey of healing. My goal is to offer you the necessary tools to help cope and address anxiety and stress related disorders. In addition, to address and heal from traumatic life events that shape and change our view about the world, ourselves, and relationships. Healing can look different for every person, and can often times feel uncomfortable and lonely. We will walk together in this journey and increase your overall sense of well-being, peace, and hope.

    Noemi Flores is a bilingual mental health therapist, and founder of My Hope Counseling, LLC. A place of hope and healing. Noemi is of Salvadoran descent and is fluent in both English and Spanish. She can offer individual therapy services, and conduct mental health evaluations for immigration cases in either language. She is a licensed clinical social worker in Washington, D.C., Virginia, and is in the process of endorsing her license in Maryland.
