Meet Noemi
Noemi Flores, LCSW-C, is a bilingual mental health therapist and founder of My Hope Counseling, LLC, which she launched during the COVID-19 pandemic to expand access to culturally responsive care. A first-generation Salvadoran-American, Noemi is licensed in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, and offers therapy in both English and Spanish.
She earned her Master’s in Clinical Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Social Work in 2017. Since then, she has worked with teens and adults in medical and outpatient settings, specializing in the treatment of anxiety and trauma-related disorders.
With over a decade of experience, including her work at Mary’s Center serving the immigrant community and low-income families, she specializes in:
Christian counseling (faith-integrated care by request)
Anxiety & panic attacks
Trauma & grief (including childhood trauma)
First-generation issues (guilt, boundaries, family dynamics)
Life transitions
Anger management & mood challenges
Noemi also provides immigration mental health evaluations for clients in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC, with clear, attorney-ready reports for U-Visa, T-Visa, VAWA, Asylum, and Extreme Hardship waivers. Sessions are held via telehealth.
